"We'll see you There!"

update June

Just another update about our friend Allison. She is continuing to improve in small ways. Teri and Grant remain hopeful that she will soon awaken and begin her recovery. We are all still praying for her and searching for ways to help the family. Thank you to everyone that has sent prayers, material, food and money to them already.

From Teri Angove

Barbara,
I just wanted to send a note to MHA to thank you and the members for hosting the wonderful benefit on behalf of Allison on May 16.  It was such a beautiful day with a lot of participation.  Everyone was having a very fun time.  We are so grateful for the generosity of everyone and feel so proud to be a part of the MHA family.  We play the video of the event for Allison.  It is so good for her to hear her friends telling her to hang in there and get better so she can come back and ride with them!  It is a priceless video.  Grant and I were so thankful to be able to participate in part of the event.  Thank you again for your outpouring of love and care.

Love,
Terri, Grant and Allison

Benefit for Allison was big success!

What a teriffic Day! We had about twenty riders from barns all over the Bay Area. Most of them knew Allison, but a few did not. But all of them knew ABOUT Allison and wanted to help in any way they could. They reached deep into their pockets and came up with cash, cash and more cash! All in all we were able to raise ...

Drum roll please............

$4881!!

This will be put in a special fund that Teri Angove is setting up for Allison. Further donations may still be sent to MHA, P.O. Box 1954, Martinez, Ca 94553 and they will go into the account too.

I want to personally thank each and every man woman and child that came down to participate. The horse community is a small one and we proved it yesterday!

The Martinez Horsemen are going to hold the May 16th show as a Benefit for Allison. We will have some Playday horse games and some carnival type games and a raffle. BBQ lunch will be served from noon on.
I am going to need all of your MHA members to come out and help with the Benefit, which I know will be no sacrifice because we all love Allison so much! Please give me a call and let me know how you can help that day. We are collecting raffle prizes right now too.
Come on Gang! We help everyone else, now it's time for us to rally around one of our own!

Caringbridge

If you want to learn daily how our Allison is doing, you can log on to  Caringbridge.org. In the Search box type Allisonangove and her story will come up. Teri logs on daily to let us all know Allison's status. We are all praying that she will be awake again soon.

Allison Angove

On Friday Allison Angove was at a Jumping show. I am unsure on the details but somehow Allison and Skyler went down, it happened in the blink of an eye. Allison has sustained a major head trauma which required surgery. As of today, Tuesday April 14, Allison is in a coma. Her parents are with her of course.  Her Aunt and Uncle live near Fresno and I've been told that Sky is stabled there, and that is where Teri and Grant are staying while they go through this ordeal. I'll post updates as I know them.

Welcome
