The Draft Horse Classic is one of the Premier Events for Northern California. Held in the beautiful Nevada County Fairgrounds in Grass Valley, California, it is a show worth seeing! Teams of Heavy Draft animals come from all of the USA and Canada to compete for money and prizes. The Horse Show begins on Thursday September 24 with Halter, Singles,Farm WAgon 3 and four abreast and Four - Up Driving competitions. A fun playday usually folws with a bareback doller event that is sheer joy to behold. Friday Evening, Saturday afternoon, Sat evening, and Sunday you will witness a variety of events in the arena including log skidding Farm Implements and a Heavy weight pull, cumulating with the fantastic 6 Horse hitch! Ther Fairgrounds also host a Juried Art show, Harvest Festival, Wine and Cheese tasting, music, cloggers, Logging competitions and some beautiful Breed exhibitions.
