It has been a tough year for all of us in a number of ways. The economy has hit all of us hard. But you MHA members have done the very best you can, digging deep and giving your blood, sweat and tears for our causes. Our dear friend Allison was injured in a fall, and the community spirit you all have shown has been inspirational. Battle of the Barns made more money for that organization this year than we did last year- mostly in part to our superior members walking out, taking chances and asking for donations. Awesome!
The coming year promises to be a little bit better- people are recovering, finding new ways to earn money or spend and save money too. The club continues to roll on-but we also need help. We need to repair and maintain the arena as always. It is getting critical to add sand to the arena base. Since we are one of the last Public Arenas in the county we need to be proud of what we have, as well as preserve and maintain it. We may be the caretakers but it belongs to all of us equestrians.
I would like your comments- what do you want to see in MHA? What events would you attend? What events would you NOT attend? Which clinics or speakers would you pay to see or ride in? How can you help?
2010 is fast approaching- lets make it a good one!
